


Subsidy:
"Ministry of New and Renewable Energy" (MNRE), New Delhi, is providing attractive Capital subsidy for setting up Biomass Gasification Unit either for Power generation or Thermal Applications. Details of Subsidy amount is given below. Subsidy amount is on a Pro-rata basis or in multiples there of.
Capital Subsidy for deployment of Biomass Gasifiers with 100% producer gas
engines in Institutions for captive use:
a) Rs.15.00 lakhs / 100 kWe for 100% producer gas engines with gasifier system
b) Rs.10.00 lakhs / 100 kWe for 100% producer gas engines alone.
Capital subsidy for Biomass Gasifiers for Electrical and Thermal applications
a) Rs.10.00 lakhs / 100 kWe for 100% producer gas engines with gasifier system.
b) Rs 8.00 lakhs / 100 kWe for 100% producer gas engine alone.
c) Rs.2.50 lakhs / 100 KWe (for electrical applications through dual fuel engines)
d) Rs.2.00 lakhs / 300 KWth for thermal applications.
Depreciation:
Customer can claim 'Accelerated Depreciation' of 80% of the cost of the system (after deducting the subsidy amount) in the 'First Year' itself.
Soft Loan:
Government Institutes such as "India Renewable Energy Development Authority" (IREDA), "National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development" (NABARD) are offering Soft loan @ 5% interest p.a for seven years.
Carbon Credits:
For Bigger projects, customer can apply independently and can get Carbon Credit. For smaller projects, it has to be bundled with some other projects to make it a financially viable option.
