Gasifier - Plant Description

Gasifier - a vertical refractory & insulation lined steel vessel working under suction where gasification reactions take place.

  >> Hot gas cyclone separator where coarse dust particles are removed.

  >> Cooler / scrubber where the gas is cooled and further cleaned.

  >> Moisture separator - where moisture in the gas is removed.

  >> Chiller & chilled water cooler - where the gas is cooled below ambient 

         temperature  for removal of moisture & tar by condensation.

  >> Fabric filter - for final cleaning of gas for removal of dust of  micron size.

  >> Suction blower for sucking air into the gasifier and supplying  gas to the gas 

        engine. 

  >> Ash screw conveyor for periodic removal of ash and unconverted charcoal from  

         the bottom of the gasifier.

  >> Cooling towers for Gasifier and Gas engine for cooling the circulating water and a 

         water treatment plant.
