Our experience
First plant of Netpro, a 100 kWe plant with DF engine generator was
commissioned during 1996 at
Orchha.
Has completed more than 28,000 hrs of operation. In 2004 a 100% pure
gas engine of 50kW installed in the power plant for better economics
of operation. The gas engine has completed more than 3500 hrs of
operation till Dec’ 2006.
The first few years of Orchha plant were fully dedicated to a
technology platform where a large number of critical components were
modified, changed and redesigned in very close co-operation with our
technology provider CGPL, IISc.
Took about 8 years to build, modify and operate a large number of
power plants to establish the technology to which meets the
performance norms of a conventional thermal power plant.
Together with our sister company
DESI
Power, we have built & operated power plants over
thousands of hours to debug all the elements of the power plant that
affect its reliability, performance & economics.
Our approach is not just to sell the system. We work closely with
our customers to train their staff to strictly comply with safe O&M
practices.
Through our promoter partner DASAG in Switzerland, we were also
lucky to export the first gasifier, which was thoroughly tested by
international teams.
Our power plant at MVIT
College, Bangalore, operated round the clock and supplied
uninterrupted power to the college since 2002. Power plant has
crossed over 20000 hrs of operation in 3 years. Now 100% gas engine
is proposed.
Our village plant at Baharbari village of DESI Power is being
operated and managed by the local youths trained by us. After
success of Baharbari project, DESI Power has launched 100-Village
program, where 100 gasifier plants with gas engine will be setup
within 4- 5 years time.
Netpro has also supplied a 30kW power plant for village application
in Rajasthan which is also being managed and operated by the local
youths and 2nd similar plant is being executed. They have plans for
few more similar plants near future.
First phase of technology
consolidation has now reached a stage where Netpro’s gasification
based power plants have become commercially bankable.
Netpro has supplied a 300kW plant
to BERI at Tumkur Dist. for village development, where power will be
supplied to the grid and 5 villages will be getting regular power
from the power plant. Netpro has responsibility to operate the plant
for 1 year and thereafter plant will be managed and operated by the
villagers. BERI has plans to develop many more similar clusters.
Netpro has also supplied a fully
automated plant of 350 kWe capacity in Switzerland which meets all
European standards. This is a big milestone for Netpro.
